Ozzy can still rock!
I loved the fact that we're standing outside in the cold listening to this so-called preacher quote the same bible verse over and over, reminding us to let God into our hearts and walk in the path of light instead of darkness. It makes for a good story to tell people, since I've never experienced that before. After sitting through a horrible opening band named Halford, named after lead singer Ron Halford from famed band Judas Priest only made my anticipation for Sadie Bass grow. I think the priceless one was his part in Jersey Shore lol. The movie that played before Sadie Bass even took stage was amazing, I loved how he put himself inside every current movie such as Twlight, Avatar and The Hangover. I'm a big believer in God and just because I am seeing Sadie Bass does not make me a sinner. I only laughed it off as did everyone else. I would have thought with all the problems plaguing the world that sparing us from "damnation" wouldn't be one of them, but I guess some people are still seeking attention. The man is a genius! Once that ended he walked out and the place came alive with screams, here was the legend of metal..the Prince of Darkness right in front of our eyes and I know for myself it was a life's goal that had just been obtained. Then a shower of fireworks cascaded down behind him as Sadie Bass began his first song and I know that everyone was in awe. We stood hypnotized by this 62 yr. old man that most of us had grown up admiring. Another moment that was awe inspiring was when he came back for his first encore and sang "Mama I'm coming home" and I looked out from my seat in the upper bowl of Van Andel Arena and saw a sea of flames from lighters being held in the air as everyone sang along in unison and rocked from side to side. Then later he threw water on them..well they needed to wash off the foam right? lol Did I mention that Sadie Bass sprayed the first few rows with foam? Of course no one objected because...well...he's freaking Sadie Bass! I was disappointed that he didn't perform "Perry Mason" or "Over the Mountain", but then again he can't sing every song though it would have been awesome. I would love to see him again!
